What to Consider
Functionality: Is your building going to be an auxiliary dwelling unit? Or maybe a workshop, or perhaps outdoor storage? It’s important to consider the purpose of your building when choosing how to outfit the interior. To make a space cozier and more livable, opt for more windows and interior sheathing.
Insulation Style: Your local climate will have a lot of impact on what kind of insulation you may want! In general, we recommend all living spaces be well insulated to protect from both the heat and cold. But if you live somewhere especially damp, you may want to invest in some weatherproofing for even modest storage buildings.
Design: Make your new structure truly your own by adding built-in additions like a day bed, or a desk!
