Domenic founded Jamaica Cottage Shop in 1995. Starting with dog houses, he expanded his skill set to post and beam cottages and sheds, learning about different building techniques while traveling all over the United States. Over time he grew the company from eight employees up to over eighty, with a catalog of over one-hundred building designs. His knowledge of the post and beam building industry is an accumulation of life experience and a business degree from Green Mountain College, where he graduated in 1991. In 2019 Jamaica Cottage Shop was recognized as the third fastest-growing company in Vermont by The Vermont Business Growth Awards and made the Inc. 5000 Most Successful Private Companies in America List. When Domenic is not planning his next cottage design he can be found snowmobiling or four-wheeling out in the wilderness, following Phish, or enhancing his rustic homestead in Northern Maine.

Not long after moving to Southern Vermont in 2014, Paula was introduced to Jamaica Cottage Shop and fell in love with the details and craftsmanship of the products. After years working in the Ski and Fitness/Wellness industries, Paula was looking for a new adventure and challenge and JCS provided that opportunity. As Director of Sales and Service, Paula works closely with the sales and service team to create exceptional experiences for JCS customers. She loves to learn and understand customer needs to find the right building to fit their lifestyle. Growing up with a dad who is a post and beam carpenter, she has loved returning to her roots and encouraging customers to joy and beauty of this style of construction too. In her spare time Paula loves to be outside; hiking, skiing, kayaking, and exploring with her two daughters and dogs. She maintains a lifestyle steeped in fitness and wellness as owner and teacher at a local community yoga studio.
