A combined wood and equipment shed, the six foot deep weekender is designed to store two cords of firewood with an enclosed area large enough to store yard toys, furniture and a lawn tractor. Like most of our buildings, the frame detailed in these cordwood shed plans is rugged post and beam. Built with rough sawn hemlock and pine lumber, this storage shed design is an attractive and practical building that we originally created for second homeowners. Whether you are storing a riding mower, or garden tools, the included Large five foot double doors and ramp allow easy access to the enclosed 42 square feet storage space. The separate compartment and cordwood storage area both have a full dimension heavy 2×6 floor frame that will handle your heaviest storage needs.
Our six foot deep wood sheds for firewood are built the same way sheds have been for centuries, with native Vermont lumber and post and beam technique. The Weekender custom shed design details a sturdy picturesque outbuilding reminiscent of old New England.
