This kit includes everything you need to add an extra room to your post and beam building. This addition can be used to make an additional workshop, mudroom, connected storage space, or simply extend the living area. Whatever reason for needing more space, this enclosed porch will help meet your needs.

Style Your Enclosed Porch

Possible floor upgrades include pressure treated floor framing and decking as well as 3/4" CDX plywood decking or 2" Pine Tongue & Groove decking. Siding choices consist of a variety of Pine and Cedar options. Pine siding selections include Shiplap, Clapboard, Log Cabin style, Novelty, and Adirondack Live-Edge. Cedar siding varieties are Western Red Cedar Clapboard, Western Red Cedar Shingles, Western Red Cedar Shakes or White Cedar Shingles. Also, choose a different roof color or select from these other roofing types. Architectural or 3-Tab Asphalt Shingles, ClearPoly, or Western Red Cedar Shingles or Shakes.

Other Important Info

The roof pitch of the Enclosure Kit is 3/12. Reference your buildings specifications wall height and the roof pitch to determine if the outer wall height will work. Keep in mind where you will be placing doors and what the swing will be. The Vermonter and Nantucket sheds have shorter wall heights so this Enclosure Kit would only be recommended for use as part of a child's playhouse and not for adult use.

This Enclosure Kit has been designed for installation on the bearing wall of basic designs. If purchasing to install on a building not designed by Jamaica Cottage Shop, we recommend working with an experienced builder.
