One Hundred (100) Zinc Coarse Thread Drywall Screws with a #2 Phillips Drive. Dimensions of these screws are #6 x 1-5/8” with approximately 1” of thread. These screws have a flat, bugle head, 5/16” diameter that will prevent them from pulling through wood or drywall. The screw shank is thin, less than 1/8” wide, and will be less likely to split wood than thicker, larger screws. Flatwood screws are great for many projects besides installing drywall, including your next shed, cabin, barn, or woodworking project, especially on softwood or when splitting is a concern. Common project applications include remodeling, fencing, storage, cabinets, and framing. Known as “wood rockets” these screws are self-piercing, contain coarse threads for quicker installation, and are zinc coated for cosmetic appeal and long life.
