Description
Many of our customers outfit their post and beam buildings with a cozy wood stove. In New England, a wood fire is one of the most popular heating sources due to our plentiful timber resources. Nothing can beat the fragrance of a wood fire. The dry heat will quickly warm up the coldest feet and iciest hands within minutes. Get your post and beam build set up for a wood stove with our roof flashing. Flashing will protect the building from water and snow from seeping in at the point of contact with the wood stove pipe. Add a hearth and a heat shield for ultimate protection from those stray sparks.
Generally, roof flashing for wood burning stoves will be installed in our three and four-season cabins, cottages and tiny houses, or any other type of design where humans will be living in their structure full time. Wood stoves are also often used in offices, sugar shacks, workshops, art studios, and saunas. In some cases we have had clients plan on putting a wood stove in their storage sheds and other uninsulated buildings just in case they decided to work in them over the winter, or later convert into a guest house or tiny house.
This flashing can be installed on any of our kits or in a fully assembled project. Kits will not be pre-cut for your flashing, so you may decide where to place it once your cabin is set up. We recommend placing the flashing at least 24″ away from any walls. We always recommend that you work with a certified wood stove installation professional when hooking up your wood stove to your building. This will ensure that everything is hooked up properly and safely.
