Additional materials are stocked in our shop for those who want to build from our DIY plans from their own lumber, or for those who want to customize their post and beam buildings. Those who are building from their own materials might have trouble finding our stylish barn sash windows or energy efficient double pane windows locally. Our one of a kind, artisan made, blown glass roundels can’t be found anywhere else and they really make a cottage or workshop stand out. Our heavy-duty solid pine doors are offered as single, double, arched, round or Dutch with all needed hardware included.

Any shed or cottage build will need hardware. We sell drywall, wood, framing and roofing screws. Roofing screws are offered in a wide range of colors to match your existing roof. We also have a wide selection of rustic door hardware such as latches, hinges and door stops along with window hinges. Our round doors may be custom built to have ornamental, blacksmith-forged iron hinges made locally here in Vermont.

After putting all that hard work into building your shed you are going to want to protect it from termites and wind. Consider purchasing termite shields (you will need one for each post or block your building will be installed on. Shed anchors can be wrapped around your skids then hammered into the ground to protect your building from toppling over from a gust of wind. If building from one of our kits you may want to go a step further and get a hurricane package which will strengthen the frame of your building with specialty hardware.

Finally a selection of rough sawn lumber may be purchased in rough lengths for customizing your build. Hemlock is used for posts, beams, skids, floor joists, rafters, nailers, studs and angle braces. Our Eastern White Pine is used for siding and trim. Bundles of battens may be added to your order. Additionally we supply ¾” CDX plywood, and shiplap pine for your building needs.
