Keep your supply of dry firewood at the ready all year round with this sturdy and practical Woodbin. Constructed with rugged post and beam framing and a heavy-duty hemlock floor, this wood storage shed won’t budge under the weight of your cords of tinder. The open front provides ample airflow to keep your firewood well ventilated while also being protected from the elements.
Proper wood storage is key to making a good fire. If your wood is too damp, it will be difficult to light, burn unevenly, and create thick smoke. If you love campfires in the summer or lighting your fireplace in the winter, the Woodbin will ensure you have a dry supply of wood throughout the seasons. The broad opening to the Woodbin ensures that your wood will be well ventilated, but if you want even more airflow to help keep your tinder dry, consider choosing alternate siding at no extra charge.
To serve the needs of all our customers, we offer the Woodbin in many different sizes, so that there’s something for every household. Constructed from rugged post and beam framing with 1” hemlock floors, this sturdy shed will stand strong under the weight of your cords of wood. We use only the finest materials and time-tested building techniques for our products, which are made right here in Londonderry, Vermont. You can feel confident that your Woodbin is built to last, season after season.
Choose Your Size & Type
The first step in choosing your Woodbin is to decide how much firewood you would like to store. As a rule, we recommend picking a shed slightly larger than what you think you’ll need, just in case you want a little extra firewood. At 15 different sizes with capacities ranging from 1.4 cords to 13.7 cords, you’ll have no problem finding a Woodbin that is just right. We offer the Woodbin as a complete shell kit with do-it-yourself instructions. We also sell this model fully assembled to our customers who are located within 300 miles of our factory.
• Complete Shell – With this package you get everything needed to set up an uninsulated Woodbin shell. A Floor system, wall and roof framing, siding, and a metal roof come with this package. This option works well for basic storage or as a small livestock shelter.
Each of our buildings comes with default options that match our specifications. However, if you want to personalize your purchase, we have made that process a breeze. As you go through each step, you’ll be able to pick and choose which options you want. Oodles of options exist to fashion your Woodbin shed just the way you’d like. We offer many all-natural pine and cedar siding options. Roofing choices include corrugated metal, Western Red Cedar shingles or shakes, and architectural asphalt shingles. Or bring in extra sunshine with a Clearpoly roof.
• Strengthen – Our buildings are built to withstand harsh New England weather. But if you’re looking for extra reinforcement, we offer options to increase durability. If your building site is placed in a damp area you might also consider opting for treated skids, or a completely treated floor system.
• Personalize – If you want to style your building so that it blends in with your natural landscape, or match existing buildings on your property, we have a plethora of siding and roofing options. We think White Cedar Shingle Siding siding paired with a corrugated metal roof in Copper Penny would be fashionable choices to add to the Woodbin. At no extra cost, you can opt for Alternate Siding, which allows for greater air flow to keep your firewood dry and ventilated.
• Add-Ons – Steel Shed Anchors are wrapped around your skids, then the triangular head is hammered into the ground. They provide some additional stability, which is great if you are building in a windy area. Termite Shields are placed on your foundation’s concrete blocks or piers before you start building. They deter termites from crawling on your building and will keep your firewood pest-free.
